Tonight's mystery artist says at one time when the band was opening for The Who it was this artist’s birthday and so Pete Townsend smashed cake in his face.  Can you think who this sticky recipient may have been??

I got this amusing in hindsight story from the iHeartRadio interview below with Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd alongside Johny VanZant and Ricke Medlocke as they talked about what it is like being on their last tour.   Gary also quipped how with all the venues there are to play in the world their farewll tour could last ten years. They also seem sort of hopeful that once the tour is done they may just make a new CD. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
