This confession came via Wikipedia/Metal Hammer when David Coverdale told them of the origins of the Whiteshake hit ‘Still of the Night” The demo was one that he and Ritchie Blackmore had been working during their Deep Purple era and although it was the premise for the new hit David assures us and himself that it was different enough to be in the free and clear.

The video you see below features David’s soon to be wife Tawney Kitaen but the story that tell is that the job had really been promised to  a newbie on the scene Claudia Schiffer.
