Tonight’s mystery artist performed as the opening act for the Rolling Stones with a fever and sick as a dog. Think you know who’d never say die??

This amazing feat was recounted in UCR by the man we all know is a trooper George Thorogood. That wasn’t all he had going on either he did that during his 50/50 tour where he played 50 states in 50 days. George tells how he missed out on doing the entire tour with the Rolling Stones because he had already committed to the 50/50 tour. That said the two tours coincided in New Orleans when in George’s words he was so ill but played anyway.

“But I was sick as a dog, I had a temperature of about 110. And I was in front of 80,000 people, and I had to go on after the Neville Brothers and before the Rolling Stones. That was tough.”

Here is George on a better day with tonight's featured song.
