Folks hoping to hop on 395 to get to Bangor or Brewer tomorrow, will have to take a different route until the afternoon commute kicks in.

The closure is to get things ready for a 7.3 million dollar paving project that will start soon in that area.

The Maine DOT announced this week that it will be closing a portion of the roadway in Bangor Thursday early morning through the afternoon. Motorists will have to adjust their travel plans and take alternate routes to get on to I-395.

"In Bangor, MaineDOT will be closing the on ramp from northbound Route 202 to westbound I-395 on April 9 from 5AM to 4PM for a concrete deck placement. Drivers heading northbound on Route 202 towards I-395 should use Exit 3B on I-395 onto Main Street in Bangor and take the next on ramp to get onto I-395 westbound."

Message boards have been put in the area to warn drivers that they're entering a work zone.

According the the Maine Association of Police, says the contractor in charge of this project is Eurovia Atlantic Coast/Northeast Construction out of Bangor.
