Maine State Police ID Palmyra Stabbing Victim Who Died
Maine State Police have identified a man who was stabbed in Palmyra earlier this month, and say he died of his injuries.
1 Man Received Serious Injuries in a Hartland Stabbing
Todd Parsons, 48, of Palmyra was transported to the Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield and was later taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Police say it was there that he succumbed to his injuries on October 18, 2024. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. So far, officials have not released a cause or manner of death.
Maine Police Say The Public Is In No Danger
Members of the Maine State Police and the Somerset County Sheriff's Office were called to a residence at 482 Madawaska Road in Palmyra just before 3:00 Friday morning, October 11th. When they arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries. So far, officials have not commented on whether they have any suspects. Police say there continues to be no known danger to the public.
Officials Closed Madawaska Road for Much of the Day
Madawaska Road was closed for much of the day while the investigation was underway. This incident remains under investigation.
