Fire officials have released the identity of a Maine man who was inside an Oakland home when it exploded.

Oakland, Maine Man Suffered Serious Injuries in House Explosion

Cliff Hannon, 66, sustained serious injuries in the explosion that happened around 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.  Officials say he was transported to Thayer Hospital before being flown via Life Flight to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

The home on Lakeview Drive was flattened by the explosion.

Maine Fire Marshal Says the Oakland House Explosion Was Caused by a Propane Leak

State Fire Marshal Investigators say an initial investigation suggests the explosion was caused by a propane gas leak found an ignition source. They've ruled out the propane tank themselves, so are now looking at several propane appliances in the home, to try and determine the source of the leak.

This incident remains under investigation.
