
Trump Endorses Former Maine Gov. Paul LePage for Congress
The president has officially endorsed the former Maine governor in his bid for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District in 2026.
At the time of publication, two-term former Governor Paul LePage is the Republican frontrunner to win the June primary to challenge incumbent Democrat Jared Golden’s seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, currently being contested within the GOP only by businessman and Army veteran James Clark.

President Donald Trump has endorsed LePage in his bid for Congress, backing him to represent Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.
In a post on Truth Social Thursday, Trump praised LePage as a proven ‘America First’ fighter and said he would be a tremendous congressman for the people of the district.

On Thursday, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson also endorsed Paul LePage for Congress in a post on X.
Johnson praised LePage’s past service as governor, mayor, and businessman, saying he would help deliver safer streets, secure borders, lower costs, a strong economy, and peace through strength.

And there you have it! President Trump, along with House Speaker Johnson, has endorsed Paul LePage for Congress.
