Calvin Lombard, 21, of Westbrook and South Portland

Lombard is facing felony charges:

• Attempted elevated aggravated assault
• Reckless conduct with a firearm
• Criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon
• Threatening display of a weapon

Lombard was held without bail, pending an arraignment scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026.

Westbrook, Maine Police Say a Man Was Shooting at People in Westbrook Commons

Westbrook Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Westbrook Common just before 6 pm on Sunday, August 9th.

In the course of an investigation, officers learned that a man had been firing a handgun at several people who were walking in Westbrook Common.

Officials say all the individuals involved knew each other and described it as a targeted shooting.

No one was injured in the incident.

Officials have not commented on a motive for the incident.
