So when it released its picks for America's best bucket-list steakhouses, we were pumped to see that one of the country's top spots is right here in Maine.

Located at 1205 Post Road in beautiful Wells, The Steakhouse has been serving up tasty meals for more than 35 years. If you drive by on a summer night and see a crowd waiting outside, don't be discouraged. The line is a sure sign you're in for the perfect steak dinner.

The Steakhouse takes its name seriously. USDA Prime Western beef is carefully aged, hand-cut on the premises by in-house butchers, and broiled at high heat to lock in mouthwatering flavor. Whether you order the tender filet mignon, a juicy rib-eye, the classic New York strip, or their popular teriyaki sirloin, you're in for a treat. They rock seafood too! Fresh Maine lobster, scallops, shrimp, and other seafood favorites round out the menu.

Friendly service, generous portions, and a family-run vibe have made The Steakhouse a destination for locals and visitors alike. It's easy to see why it was picked as a bucket-list destination.

The Steakhouse is open Tuesday through Friday from 4pm to 8pm. and Saturday from 3pm to 8:30 pm. During the busy summer season, it's probably a good idea to arrive a little early, you may have to wait, but it will be worth it.
