
Wait.. We’re Using Toilet Paper to Grow Grass in Maine Now?
If you've ever looked at your own lawn and thought, "Wow, this looks like a patchy piece of weeds and regret" you aren't alone. Year after year, so many of us deal with brown, thin, weeded grass and stubborn bald spots that need Rogaine.
Naturally, the internet has offered us a unique solution.. toilet paper.
Yes. Toilet paper.
So before you stop reading, hear this out. The idea making the rounds online is surprisingly simple and honestly looks like it does work.
Does Toilet Paper Really Work On Your Lawn?
It's a promising solution, you create a "slurry" by mixing grass seed, water, and biodegradable toilet paper in a bucket until it turns into this thick pasty mixture. Then you spread it over bare patches on your lawn.

This gives you the basic understanding on how to mix and spread toilet paper to help grow your grass back.
It may feel ridiculous, but the before-and-afters I've seen have been incredible.
And at this point, with my Maine yard, I need to do something.
Our problem is bald spots from the dog as well as weeds that mix in deeply with our grass.

If you do this correctly, in about a week, if the lawn gods are in a good mood, you'll see a big difference!
So for anyone in Maine staring at their bald yard this spring like me thinking, there has to be another way, maybe the answer really is: toilet paper!
