Over the past several years, there have been very few more polarizing media personalities in Maine than News Center Maine meteorologist Keith Carson. Whether he intended to or not, Carson has found himself in the middle of debates on key issues like climate change.

Carson has done his best to keep the lighthearted side of his personality front and center, including once deeming himself the most 'slappable' media personality in the entire state.

But while the hate (and hate mail as Carson himself has shared multiple times on social media) typically gets all the attention, a punk band is looking to spread the love when it comes to Keith Carson. Specifically, they wrote an ode to him that is both catchy and slightly strange.

The band is called The Gubs. They're based in southern Maine have played at a variety of different venues in the area. They recently got into the studio to put together some new music and came away from that session with a song called "Keith Carson (Is Gonna Marry Me)"

There's an accompanying video for the song that features a handful of clips of Keith Carson delivering weather forecasts over the years. The song itself features a handful of weather puns which is fitting for both punk music and Carson's social media personality.

Sadly for The Gubs, Keith Carson is already married and is unlikely to leave behind his current life for the affection of a sweaty punk band in southern Maine. But maybe he'll wear a Gubs shirt on TV as a love letter back.
