When thinking about music history in Maine, it's impossible not to think of Portland's iconic venue, the Cross Insurance Arena. It's been one of the premier event halls in Maine for decades.

First opened in 1977, the Cross Insurance Arena has played host to a wealth of concerts, special attractions, local graduations, and sporting events. It has also been home to a number of minor league hockey teams that have called Portland home, including the current squad, the Maine Mariners of the ECHL.
