Personally I love picking up "lucky" Pennies (that's the ones you find heads up on the ground if you didn't know).   I'll even stop and flip a tails side up Penny over and leave it to give someone else a good day.  That said though I am thinking finding one of my pennies versus one from the Ally Bank will not share the same thrill, you see theirs are worth $1000.00.

Ally Bank says it is hoping to encourage Americans to look for opportunities to save through its "Lucky Penny" promotion. The lucky pennies carry a copper color like real pennies, but feature the Detroit-based bank's logo instead of Abraham Lincoln's head. The flip side of the coin lists its value at 100,000 cents.

Now the small rub, you'll need to go on a small vacation/road trip to look for one. The bank has placed 100 of the fake coins in 10 cities, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Miami, Denver, Detroit, San Diego, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Austin, Texas. The coins can be redeemed online until the end of the year.
