Lovely Laura Longs For A Laid Back Lap To Purr Her Days Away
Sure kittens are cute. They're full of energy and precious precociousness, but there's something sweet about a refined, relaxed, and almost regal senior cat. Much less curious and worrisome, an older cat knows the game: lounge, snuggle, purr.
Lovely Laura knows this well. She's a beautiful orange and cream Tabby cat. She's also the pet of the week at the SPCA of Hancock County. The folks who have been working with her have this to say about Laura:
"Laura is a lovely senior with gorgeous green eyes and a freckled pink nose, and she is ready to take over your home and your heart. She can be a little shy and reserved at first, so we think she would prefer a kind of quieter home that would give her time to adjust. And at 10 years old and diagnosed with diabetes, she deserves any kind of home she wants."
Don't let Laura's diabetes be a deterrent. It's easy to manage through insulin, and the fine folks at the shelter can show you exactly how to do it.
They say Laura doesn't mind sharing a home with other animals, provided they're as laid back as she is. So a home with other senior cats or dogs might be just the place to put her. And while she doesn't mind kids, she does take her time warming up to them, so patience is key in that situation.
