Bangor ME’s Forecast for August Shows More Rain and Less Heat
Maine weather is so weird.
Although, it's gotta be strange to live in a place like Southern California, where basically the weather never changes. So much so, people there often freak out about rain, the way we freak over snow. They legit have to fear the roads becoming slippery from the rain making oil slicks on the road form the lack of rain, but high traffic volume.

Maine's weather though, is a constant mystery. There is no correlation whatsoever between this year's weather and next year's. Or last year's for that matter... Heck, even month to month. For instance, July was a super hot month with 21 days over 80 degrees, and reasonable rainfall. August, will be nothing like July, according to Accuweather.

Summer isn't leaving the building yet, but it's thinking about it.
Compared to the month of July, August looks far more tolerable from a heat standpoint. Temps overall for the month will tend to land in the upper 70's to low 80's. As opposed to last month where it felt like it was 80's to 90's all the time. And while we did have some pretty good thunderstorms, it'd be nice to get some decent, soaking rain.
That also seems to be another feature of next month... Rain. Not crazy amounts of it, but enough to feel like we're actually watering the grass instead of pummeling it. The sad part is, when you look at the temperature graph, you see that downward trend for the month, and it only means one thing... Fall is on the way.

Another sad part is, it feels like this summer has just cruised right on by. I feel like it's just flown. Soon enough, we'll all be watching the leaves fall, and then the snow will be right behind it. Summer is just a fleeting moment in time for Maine. so let's enjoy what we can, while we can.
