The unemployment rate in Maine has skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this may be just the ticket to a paycheck for you.

The Maine Career Center and the Bangor Daily News are holding a Virtual Job Fair today, and you don't even have to leave the house.

The 23rd Annual Spring Virtual Job Fair is happening today, Wednesday, May 20th, until late this afternoon.  It's a very cool process, and totally safe and secure.  Go HERE, and check out the list of employers who are at this very moment looking for new employees.

You see places like Reed & Reed, Walgreens, Woodlands Senior Living of Brewer, and more, all conducting interviews throughout today via Zoom and other teleconferencing platforms.

Remember, it will be a virtual interview, so you;ll have to be presentable in your quest for a new job.  Also, make sure to have your resume available and ready to be emailed or transferred if need be.

This is a pretty cool new concept where you can review the details and requirements of a job opening first, and then schedule the interview with the click of a couple of on screen buttons.  You can even pick the time frame that you'd like to do the interview.

We wish you the best in your search for a job.  No one needs to tell you that it's tough going out there, and that thousands of Mainers have become unemployed since earlier this year when the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 first took hold.

We wish you all the best in your search.
