There's big goings on in the Washington County town, this Friday and Saturday, July 26th through 27th.
The seaside town of Milbridge has always held a special place in our hearts! It's a wonderful, quiet community, with beautiful views of the working harbor, and the people there are very friendly and they'd be the first to help neighbor in need!
So, take a daytrip up Route 1 and enjoy what Milbridge has to offer during Milbridge Days/Super Heros Weekend! The celebration has already begun and the kids will be dressing up like superheros, so don't miss great stuff like the blueberry pancake breakfast, a 5K Fun Run, the Codfish Relay Race, the parade, the Patriots' Car Show, a petting zoo,and concerts by Allison Ames Band and Whiskey Bent are all the schedule for your to enjoy! Friday, July 26 1pm to 6pm- WHRL Auction, Seaworthy Event Center. Combination raffle-style auction with a “Paint Outside the Box” silent auction for wooden boxes designed by local artisans (drawings on Saturday at 1:30pm).
6:30pm to 9pm- Gateway Milbridge Outdoor Concert with the Allison Ames Band!, Milbridge Theatre Outdoor Stage
Saturday, July 27 All Day- Vendors/Arts/Crafts/Food, All Around Downtown
6:30am to 10am- Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, Pleiades Lodge, Bridge Street
7am to 9:30am- Milbridge 5K & Fun Run, Fickett’s Point & Bayview (Fun Run 8am, 5K Walk/Run 8:30am)
8am to 1:30pm- WHRL Auction, Seaworthy Event Center. Combination raffle-style auction with a “Paint Outside the Box” silent auction for wooden boxes designed by local artisans (drawings on Saturday at 1:30pm)
9am to 12noon- Build Your Own Super Hero Mask & Darlings Ice Cream Truck, Milbridge Elementary School
9am to 1pm- WHRL Blueberry Pie Sale, Seaworthy Event Center
9am to 2pm- Kids’ Wheel of Fortune & Maeve Perry’s Face Painting ($5 per face), Milbridge Theatre
9am to 1:30pm- Milbridge Public Library Book Sale, Milbridge Library
10am to 3pm- SPECIAL EVENT Petting Zoo and Caesar the Camel, Free to Everyone! Across from the fire station.
10am to 11am- Tours of the Incredible Edible Pick-Your-Own Garden, at the Milbridge Commons
10am to 2pm- “Patriots Car Show” behind 44North (car entry by donation only)
11am- Parade! Register to be in the parade!
11:45am to 1pm- Live Outdoor Concert with Whiskey Bent, Milbridge Theatre Outdoor Stage
12noon- Fire Department Lobster Cookout (tickets at the door)
12:30pm- Blueberry Pie Eating Contest, at Schoodic Insurance (register in advance or at the event)
2:30pm- Codfish Relay (kid & adult teams), Town ball field.
