National Weather Service Forecasting Messy Weather Sunday

A wintry mix is expected to make roads slick Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Caribou is predicting messy weather for the Bangor and Dowenest areas. A mix of snow and rain is expected to impact the area Sunday afternoon. Interior portions of the state could also see a period of icy conditions.

Bangor and Downeast areas can expect about 1 to 2 inches of snow, with northern Maine seeing more accumulation.
