New Resource Created For Folks Interested In Hiking Ellsworth Area
Folks looking for information on where, in the greater Ellsworth area, to find a good trail to hike, can now turn to a new online tool.
This new hiking resource, (click here to take a look) has been created thanks to a collaboration between two non-profit organizations; The Heart of Ellsworth (a group of local people committed to promoting all the cool things going on the Ellsworth region) and the Maine Trail Finder (a free mapping website that encourages people to get outside and explore the world around them by showing them where they can go).
According to a recently release statement about the new link, folks will be able to get a lot of information and detail on each trail.
"The page includes photos and descriptions, as well as an integrated map of trail locations through Maine Trail Finder. From woods to sidewalk, the page highlights nine trails managed by nine area entities including; the Frenchman Bay Conservancy, Woodlawn Museum, Sunrise Trail Coalition, City of Ellsworth, Ellsworth Public Library, Ellsworth Garden Club, Ellsworth Historical Society, Stanwood Wildlife Sanctuary, and Blue Hill Heritage Trust."
Whether you're looking for a new spot to explore with your dog, searching for a trail that gets you up close and personal with some local wildlife, or want to find a spot where you can sit in stare at the beautiful scenery, this site will hook you up with the hike that's right for you.
