Newport House Of Pizza Has Closed

It's always sad when a popular family-owned Maine business shuts its doors, especially one that dishes out pizza.

Newport House of Pizza at 8 Main Street in the Triangle Plaza has put a sign on the door that says, "Due to the virus & economic crisis, we are now closed.  Thank you to all our wonderful customers.  Be safe and healthy."

The business also took the signage down from above the front door.

Newport House of Pizza offered up everything from specialty pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, burgers and pasta dinner plates.  The business had a rating of four out of five stars on Google, and some pretty good reviews, including:

"House of Pizza in Newport Maine is phenomenal. The owner personally cooks and the food is awesome."

"This little gem of a pizza shop won me over when i moved into the area. The staff is always friendly, and helpful. the prices are very affordable, with a food quality that surpasses the other places in Newport by a mile. it has a relaxing feel that anyone can enjoy."

There's still places to get pizza in the Newport area, including Pizza Hut, Freshies On The Run, and Newport Big Stop Restaurant.
