North Woods Law Season Two

The Maine Warden Service has seen some benefits from the lime light.

Season two of the popular show 'North Woods Law' is almost here! The season follows a dozen wardens throughout the state. The ten episode season was filmed April through August. This season features the woods of Aroostook county, and more of the state from east to west. The now reality star wardens are celebrating with a special meet and greet tomorrow.

The wardens will be at the Maine Wildlife Park off route 26 in Gray. From 9:30 to 11:30AM meet wardens Jonathan Parker, Tim Spahr, Dan Carroll,  Kris MacCabe with K9 Morgan, Scott Thrasher and Pete Herring.  Wardens Rick LaFlamme, Alan Curtis with K9 Cruizer, Kris MacCabe and Dan Carroll will make their apperences from 1 to 3PM. Also on display will be the Operation Game Thief 'Wall of Shame,' an airboat and other warden gear. Children under 3 get are free, ages 4 to 12 $5, ages 13 to 60 $7, ages 61+ $5.

The Maine Game Wardens have seen a positive response from the TV show. Several production companies expressed interest in filming the wardens. Maine Warden Service Cpl. John MacDonald researched the companies and choose Engel Entertainment of New York. He wanted to be sure the wardens to be portrayed in the right light and relay they messages they wanted to get to the public.

He also says recruitment is up. Normally he talks with 100 to 150 people a year about joining the wardens. Now he's been talking to more than 500 people.
