I gotta say, this is not the news I was looking for when I decided to look at the forecast for the rest of the week. Depending on where you look, there could even be quite a bit of snow in your forecast. But as usual, I always suggest just looking out the window and seeing for yourself. Your own eyes don't usually lie as much.

In the weather app on my phone, which I generally find to be pretty reliable, I see the potential for 5-8 inches of snow in the forecast. On the other hand, if I go straight to the National Weather Service site, they're not really predicting much in the way of accumulation.

Temperatures going in and out of the time frame suggest that vast amounts of snow sticking to the ground might be as likely around the Bangor area. But, where I am out in Hampden, we also got almost a foot in that last big storm at the end of March. So who knows.

For me, the thing it always comes back to is, we live in Maine. Snow happens. Even in April. When I was a kid, it seemed like the biggest storm of the year happened back in April of 1984. I feel like we got almost 2 feet. But it was gone in like three days. And that's what will happen now too. Whatever we get will be gone in no time.

So even though there's a possibility of a bunch of the crappy white stuff being all over the ground Friday morning, it'll be gone before you know it. That makes it a smidge easier to deal with. so brace for the worst, and hope for the best. Of course, that could be the mantra for our entire lives right now.

Go wash your hands!!!!
