Parade, Live Music, Fireworks: Bucksport Bay Festival Coming This Weekend
For more than 30 years, folks in Bucksport have been treated to a day of excitement and activity that celebrates this Hancock County Town.
The "Bucksport Bay Festival" is coming up this Saturday, and it will kick off at 7 AM Saturday with a Family Fun Run/Dog Walk.
Following that, there will be an Antique Car Show, A Bake Sale, and dozens of vendors selling handmade crafts.
There will be a little bit of history infused into the day, thanks to the Civil War Living History encampment that will be taking place at Fort Knox, with live demonstrations kicking off at 10 AM.
A Hawaiian-themed parade full of fun floats and vehicles will travel from Franklin Street to Mill Street and Main Street at noontime.
With live music, food, and vendors all day, there will be plenty to do, see, eat, and listen to.
According to the Bucksport Bay Festival Event Page, there will even be a special space where kids can have fun.
"The Kids' Zone [is] located in the parking lot behind the Bucksport Town Office at 50 Main Street, where the inflatables are FREE to the public from 1 pm to 7 pm. We have five inflatables this year and some of your favorite life-size characters including Transformers and dinosaurs from https://www.facebook.com/midlobots."
The day will also include a free family flick at The Alamo. 'The Garfield Movie' will start right at 3 PM.
The day's festivities will conclude with a fireworks session on the water.
