To avoid future damage or unforeseen damage Maine DOT will be preforming maintenance to the bridge, the rock ledge surrounding the end of the bridge, and the roadway.

At times the bridge is expected to be down to one lane with traffic alternating. Crews are expected to work overnight and will most likely cause delays between 10PM and 5AM.

The 720-foot bridge connects Verona Island to Prospect and features one of the world's tallest bridge observatories in the world in the prospect side tower. From the observatory you can see a 360 degree view of the area from over 450ft in the sky. The observatory plans to open in May.

More on the plans for the bridge can be found here.
