Annie Chalmers, a Medical Technician at the SPCA of Hancock County, says this little kitty is sweet, with just the right amount of heat.

"Pepperoncini, a brown tiger, who, just as her name may suggest, is a very sweet girl with a little bit of spice. This shorthaired beauty has been available at the shelter for about three months. Pepperoncini has piercing green eyes that go well with her tan, almost orange, highlights. She loves to snuggle and have gentle pats, given you’re prepared for a bit of playful sass!"

Chalmers says Pepperoncini has a very independent personality and is highly motivated by snacks and treats.

"She was adopted from a Maryland shelter as a kitten and lived with the same people her whole life. Pepperoncini is an independent cat who would be a great companion for anyone with any sort of lifestyle.  She is a very food-motivated cat who loves her food! Treat toys are a favorite, she enjoys slow feeders which last longer."

If you can believe it, Pepperoncini is actually getting up there in years and is not a kitten, but an actual grown-up cat. And as an older kitty, Chalmers says she's kind of set in her ways as to who she does and doesn't want to be around.

"Pepperoncini is almost a senior cat, she's about 7 years old. She doesn’t like to be around other cats or dogs, and she may not be the best fit for a home filled with kids. Having a track record of being a bit spicy, children who aren't accustomed to spicy cats."
