A Maine Warden Service plane had to make an emergency landing on the highway this morning.

The single engine-plane reportedly ran out of fuel. It landed in the northbound lane around mile 95 near Litchfield. Traffic on the Maine Turnpike was never in danger and the lanes where reopened within minutes of the plane landing safely.

The plane was towed to the nearby 'old Litchfield service plaza' were it will be refueled.
