Maine folks were supposed to have a REAL ID card by this October in order to board a plane at Bangor International Airport, but due to the coronavirus, that deadline has been extended.

According to the Transportation Security Administration, that deadline has now been extended to October 1st, 2021.

With many Mainers now changing their vacations plains and flights, this is especially important to know.

The deadline was extended for numerous reasons, but the main one being that the Department of Motor Vehicles across the country have been closed due to COVID-19.  The DMV is where one would go to obtain a REAL ID.

With many Mainers now changing their vacations plains and flights, this is especially important to know.
