Even though this year has been scary enough there are those that just can't let themselves forget about Halloween.

Halloween may still be some 80 days away, but we're willing to bet that there's still a bunch of ghouls and goblins out there that are beginning to think about the year's scariest holiday.

There's good news for those folks, as Spirit Halloween plan to open the doors for business this Friday, August 14, at the former Toys R Us location on Bangor Mall Boulevard.

With the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, it's hard to speculate exactly what will be happening this Halloween as far as kids going door-to-door for their delicious rewards, but we're willing to bet that certain young and old alike will want to dress up in costume at some point for whatever reason.  Whether it's a scary family Halloween party or baskets of candy being left out by the front door, the spirits will certainly not allow absolutely nothing to happen that night.

Spirit Halloween touts itself as the "world's #1 costume store" and it looks like they have it more than covered.  From the scary to sexy, from baby to to men's and women's, it's all there.  They even have animatronics and remote mechanisms that are probably guaranteed to make the neighbors pee their collective pants when they stumble upon them.

Regardless of what's going on in the world we know that some things are set in stone, like the Thanksgiving day bird on the table and jolly old St. Nick on your roof.  Sounds like you better be dressed for Halloween.
