This past weekend it was announced that the restaurant had been sold, yet again, but this time there are plans underway to change things up a bit...

This year alone, they will have opened two more Mexican restaurants in the greater Bangor area by the end of the summer.

Once collected, volunteers prepackage the food and supplies into kits and distribute them to people... in Penobscot, Piscataquis, Washington, and Hancock counties.

Most folks may not even realize the place is open yet. But if you drive by the building you can see, others have definitely been paying attention.

While it sits, dark and unused on the side of Union Street, I can't help but wonder what will go into that building next.

That's why when I heard someone report that they were closing, I had to make sure it wasn't for good. And I'm glad to report that they will indeed be reopening!

Demolition of the old building can take place as soon as the permits are issued, with the rebuild taking place shortly after.

The Downtown Bangor Partnership is kicking off the month of November, and the holiday shopping season, with a special theme and a weekend full of fun!
