Take A Look At The Cool New Channel 5 News Set

When you flip on the local news this evening, you might notice that things have changed. WABI TV-5 newscasts looked a little different the past several weeks, they have been using temporary locations in the building, Why? Because they were constructing themselves some new digs!

Way back in the day, I used to work in the building at WABI out there on good old Hildreth Street, back when they dabbled in radio, and since those days, man has that place been through some changes, and now it looks like a whole new place.

The brand new studio has a hi-tech, ultra-modern feel to it, with several giant flat TV screens, and some pretty groovy carpeting. Not bad after the “Pardon Our Appearance” look of the last several weeks. And the color scheme is noticeably different, but it catches the eyeballs for sure.

The gang at WABI TV-5, posted a video of a behind-the-scenes look at the process of tearing down the old and putting up the new. Take a look, before you turn on the tube and think you are watching a different channel. It is an eye-opener, but it looks fantastic.
