American Folk Festival August 28- 30

The American Folk Festival is back this weekend at the Bangor waterfront once again offering music and food from around the world.

Just a few of the musical styling in this year roster are Rockabilly, Quebecois, Memphis blues, Bluegrass, Niger and Western and that’s just Friday night.

The event runs from Friday evening starting a 7pm and then again Noon - 10PM on Sat and Noon - 6 PM on Sunday.

Along with the music you can look for a huge craft area, cooking demonstrations and a children’s area. Admission is by donation with a suggestion of $10.00 per person.

This is the 14th year for this event in Bangor and their webpage boasts on average a draw of more than 80,000 visitors a year.
