The Docks Are Almost In: Bangor Readies For Boats!
Members of the Bangor Public Works Department will be busy along Bangor's waterfront for the next month. They're not just setting things up for this weekend's canoe race, but also putting together a handful of docks, to make sure things are set to go for when other boats make their way into the City from out of town.
According to a recent post put up on the City Of Bangor's social media page, the docks will be put into place over the next few weeks. The first one, they say, usually goes in just before the Kenduskead Stream Canoe Race, as it's used by races to get in and out of the water at the finish of the event.
The next 3 docks are expected to go in next week, the first two to be used by short-term boaters, such as folks who want to listen to concerts or events on the waterfront.
The 4th dock is used by boaters who have paid to dock there for the entire season.
"Fees vary depending on the size of the boat and there is an online reservation form available on the City’s website: https://bangormaine.gov/."
The 5th dock, which is reserved for a special reason, will go in last, at the end of the month.
