Ever heard of a companion album?

Back in 2009 The Flaming Lips announced they would undertake the task of a full length cover of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon. Turns out that album wasn't done.

The Flaming Lips have released a companion LP that's intended to be played at the same time as the Floyd's original. The LP is called Flaming Side of the Moon. Not only do the two albums sync up, Flaming Side of the Moon lines up perfectly with
'The Wizard of Oz.' You're also encouraged to play it with the original Alan Parsons  quadrophonic mix of Dark Side of the Moon.

Flaming Side of the Moon is now available digitally. The bands friends and family are being treated to a limited pressing of vinyl copies. Only 100 copies will be made.

Below is the Flaming Side of the Moon.
