Toto to Collaborate with Dubstep Producer Skrillex

Whomp, whomp meets rock n' roll.

What will likely be one of the strangest collaborations of the year, Toto is teaming up with EDM (Electric Dance Music) stars Skrillex and What So Not. It's not a huge stretch as both acts have remixed 'Africa,' and included it in many of their sets while on tour last year.

Skrillex, real name Sonny Moore, is known for breaking down genre boundaries. His 2011 Bangarang EP featured spoken word revaluations from The Lizard King, Jim Morrison. He's also worked on tunes with the hard rock band, Korn.

So who got this odd ball rolling? Answer: Skrillex! He reached out to Toto who where happy to join the project. Skrillex said:

'We created something from a germ of an idea they had and it was a meeting of 2 generations.. NEVER would have thought it worked.. they called US and we went and ended up writing and recording a VERY cool piece.'

Toto announced the collaboration via Facebook saying the project is 'VERY cool and fun and fresh.'

For now we'll have to hold the line and wait for a first listen.
