60,000 people are expected to travel by car, bus, bike and train to the Unity Fairgrounds for Maine's biggest country fair!

The Common Ground Country Fair, put on by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardener's Association, runs this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 21st through the 23rd.

There isn't any mechanical rides or games on the mid-way at this fair, but you'll be exposed to the latest techniques in gardening, agriculture, dealing with livestock,  numerous arts and crafts, and one of the biggest Farmer's Markets in the state!

Some of the demonstrations include milking goats successfully, sheep dogs, mowing with horses, Maple sugaring and beekeeping, logging, cider pressing, cheese making, solar and wind electricity, and working with stone!

Entertainment this year includes free-form music and dance with Emilia,  juggling and music with The Bumbling Woohas, and a people-powered bike parade!
