These Are The Best Places To Live In Maine In 2020

For the 6th year in a row, a company has looked at the facts and crunched the figures to come up with the most desirable places to set up camp here in Maine.

The boys and girls out in the backroom at Homesnacks.net looked at recently released census and FBI data, things to do, and general quality of life here in Maine, and here are the cities and towns that make up their 2020 top ten list.

1. South Portland
2. Hallowell
3. Saco
4. Bath
5. Brewer
6. Portland
7. Belfast
8. Westbrook
9. Ellsworth
10. Rockland

Now we're thinking that South Portland came in #1 because there's a Cracker Barrel restaurant there.  If that's not the reason, then it must be because of all the places to shop and eat, as well as being close to plenty of areas to play in, like Portland,  Scarborough and Old Orchard Beach.

Brewer came in at #5, which excites us, because that's where our radio station is located, along with great schools, shopping, plenty of places to work nearby, and low crime.

Now we know that most places in eastern Maine like Belfast, Ellsworth and Rockland, are wonderful areas to live and raise a family.  There is absolutely no doubt about that.

So, for a list that was researched and then compiled by a bunch of out-of-staters, it ain't half bad.
