Two Men Die From Motorcycle Accidents Over The Weekend
Two Maine men have died from injuries sustained in motorcycle accidents over the weekend.
A Dedham man was killed in a crash in Pennsylvania when a car pulled across in front of his bike. According to the BDN, the accident happened Friday afternoon in the town of Hamlin. A car driven by a local woman, 68-year-old Darlene Edwards, was trying to cross Hamlin Highway when she drove into the path of the motorcycle. 63-year-old David Hazen of Dedham was killed in the accident. Edwards suffered an unknown injury when her vehicle struck a utility pole.
In a separate accident, an Auburn man has died from injuries he sustained Saturday evening in a Durham accident. The BDN reports that 73-year-old Kenneth Kilby was traveling along Newell Brook Road in that town when he lost control of his bike. Police say he was not wearing a helmet when the motorcycle left the road and crashed. Kilby died of his injuries on Sunday.
