WATCH Rockland’s Famous Lobster Trap Christmas Tree Being Built In This Time Lapse [VIDEO]
The Lobster Trap Christmas Tree has become an annual tradition by the waterfront in Downtown Rockland. Here's what it takes to get 155 traps, 100 buoys, and almost 2,500 lights up and running!
This video was recorded just last week. It shows almost two dozen folks, including those from the local U.S. Coast Guard base, assembling the custom made traps into a giant Christmas tree that will be lighted during Parade Of Lights, Saturday night, November 25th, beginning at 6PM.
Of course there's a lobster on top holding the Christmas star! Another great instance as to why Maine and it's people are so richly unique!
