With the moon's pull and the surge from yesterday's passing storm, the tide battered the tip of Mount Desert Island so hard that a plow would eventually be needed to clear the road.

This video was shot from Route 102a, the Seawall Road, just past Southwest Harbor.  On any given day the view from that area is pretty spectacular, just take a hike on the Wonderland Trail, but yesterday Mother Nature was once again flexing her impressive muscles.

We love it!

As of this writing on Wednesday, the road was still closed, although crews are on the scene!
