During Tager's time with the Bangor School Department, he saw graduation rates rise, and stats on accelerated programming and advanced placements improve and/or outperform state and national scores.
Ray Phinney, Director of Community Outreach and Safety for the Bangor School Department, says since Tabor's retirement announcement, the members of the School Committee have been weighing all the options and doing their due diligence to come up with suitable candidates for the position of Superintendent, and are set to make their decision.
"The Bangor School Committee will be voting on the candidate for the Superintendent of Schools position at their upcoming meeting on May 22, 2024. The meeting will be held at 7:00 PM in the Bangor High School Library..."
Tager's last day on the job will be June 30th. Whoever gets voted into the position Wednesday evening will take over for him after that.
