As hundreds of law enforcement officers scour the lands of Somerset County for a fugitive wanted for murdering one of their own, Sheriff Dale Lancaster would like to remind everyone of a special event scheduled for this Saturday, and that it will still take place.

Drug Take Back Day is happening tomorrow, April 28th, and most law enforcement departments across the state will be taking part in it, including those within Somerset County.

You can help reduce the risk of prescription drug misuse by dropping off your unused or expired drugs to the following locations between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. tomorrow.

Somerset County Sheriff's Office
Somerset County Sheriff's Office-Madison Division
Somerset County Sheriff's Office-Jackman Division
Fairfield Police Department
Pittsfield Police Department
Skowhegan Police Department
Maine State Police, Troop C Barracks

These things will not be accepted:

Needles (sharps)
Bloody or infectious waste
Medication from business/clinics
Hydrogen Peroxide
Aerosol cans
Inhalers

These things will:

Prescriptions/Samples
Over-the-counter medications
Vitamins
Medications for pets
Lotions/Ointments
Liquids in leak proof containers
