CMP Customers Will Soon Pay This Much More Per Month
The Maine Public Utilities Commission has spoken!
Beginning on January 1st, the standard offer for those that purchase their power from Central Maine Power will increase from 7.9 cents to 9 cents per kilowatt hour, or about 14%. About 80% of CMP customers also purchases electricity from the company, according to an article in the Portland Press Herald.
The average customer's bill is about $88 each month, and is due to increase to about $94.
