Guess I'll have to keep turning in the bottles so that I can buy wood pellets.  Nope, I didn't win the Powerball jackpot last night and chances are you didn't either, unless you bought the ticket in California.

Lottery officials in California said that the lone winning ticket was sold Dixon Landing Chevron in Milpita, which is close to San Jose.  It has an cash payout value of $242.2 million.

Back in May of last year, Gloria MacKenzie, a woman formerly of the East Millinocket area and currently residing in Florida won Powerball's largest jackpot in history, which was $590 million.  MacKenzie recently donated a large amount of money to Schenck High School in East Millinocket to put a new roof on the school among other things.

Our question of the day:  If you won a large amount of money, would you donate a big sum to a particular organization?  Who or what would it be?

Being a lover of animals, I'd help out a couple of SPCAs or something similar.
