I feel like this has got to be some kind of record...

This winter, you can almost set your watch to it. It seems without fail, some kind of semi-major weather event has rolled through Maine almost every weekend since before Christmas. We got that pile of snow, then the next weekend it rained cats and dogs. New Year's Eve was nuts, with lots of rain.

And it just kept up, literally every weekend. Part of me is glad that it just keeps happening on days I don't have to go anywhere, but I also know plenty of other people have to deal with it. But it's dang-near comical that every weekend, some kind of nasty weather sets in. Snow, rain, ice, wind, power outages... We've had it all this winter. But only on the weekends. Go figure.

This coming weekend is no exception.

According to the National Weather Service, we should see snow arrive during the night on Thursday, that will continue on into Friday. so far, it's looking like fairly normal precipitation. Here in the Bangor area, we're looking at 3" - 6" of new snow. Naturally, Bangor is also right on the line of snowfall amounts. One good gust of wind could easily push those totals up a bit.

Ironically, our friends up in the County look like they'll be spared in this round, for the most part. Usually it's the other way around. Usually Bangor folks can kind of point and laugh at the County while they shovel a smattering of snow. Not this time. County folks can finally get some justified finger pointing for a change.
