Beans and Rice, mother and daughter duo, are a polarized pair.

Beans, the mom, is a spunky and friendly calico who loves to bolt out of her cage. She is somewhere between 6.5 to 8 years old and still acts like a kitten!

Rice, on the other hand, is a reserved and cautious torbie with a similar half-white mustache to her vibrant calico-patterned mom. Rice loves catnip but doesn’t want people to know she can be silly like her mom. She herself is 6 years old according to their former owner, who had to give them up due to allergies in the family.

Now these long-haired, green-eyed beauties are waiting to go to a new home together, one where they can explore, love, and take their time to come out of their shells. They only have one caveat: no dogs!

They’re bound to be the staple of any family; they are Rice and Beans, after all!

Call to schedule an appointment to meet with Beans and Rice!  Call (207) 667-8088, or email at info@spcahancockcounty.org.

The SPCA of Hancock County is a no-kill facility, and currently has many cats and dogs available for adoption. It’s located at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton. Donations are always accepted. They will take your returnable bottles as a donation, so please drop them off right there at the shelter.  They're open Wednesday through Sunday 11 AM –5 PM, Closed Monday and Tuesday.
