It’s Gonna Be Another Week Of Wild Up And Down Weather In Maine
Is this actually February or what?
This month has been nuts. For real, we've had bitter cold, we've had unseasonable warmth, we've had snow, we've had rain. The only season we haven't experienced this month is summer. But as we know, summer is just a fleeting fancy of Mother Nature that doesn't stick around nearly long enough.
As we roll into this week, it seems like this pattern isn't going to change. We're going to have another round of "What season is this?" all this week. It reads like a stupid romance novel, complete with Fabio on the cover. The highs, the lows, the drama... It's all coming alive in our forecast.
Here's what the National Weather Service has to say about it.
Yesterday and today are pretty wintery and normal. But tomorrow, it starts heating up with temps near 40, with clouds rolling in. But Thursday, it'll remain cloudy with a threat of rain, but temps will hit 50+ depending on where you are, according to the NWS. It'll stay wicked warm through Friday, then drop 40+ degrees Friday night as we head into the weekend.

Saturday, things start to become as "normal" as it gets right now, but looking ahead, things warm up a bit again at the beginning of next week. But ultimately, things look like they level off in the extended forecast. But hey... This is Maine. the forecast will change 40 times before the extended forecast is remotely viable.
I feel like usually, we expect this kind of insanity in March. Hopefully, this means that maybe everything is moving up a month, and March will be April, and so on. But I doubt it. We're just never that lucky with our weather. But it's good to dream, right?!
