Legendary Classic Rock Frontman, Peter Wolf, to Perform in Maine
I'm a child of the 70's, but definitely remember more of the 80's J. Geils.
My jams growing up were "Love Stinks" or "Freeze Frame", that kind of thing. As I got older, I got more into the older stuff. I know for some people, it works the other way around. Oftentimes, when a 70's artists reaches the 80's, there's a huge shift in their sound. I feel like The J. Geils Band never really hit that rut.

You can likely set most of the weight of that right on Peter Wolf's shoulders. You can have the best band on Earth, but if your front man doesn't cut it, your band will suffer. Where a really average band with a stellar front man can move mountains. It's all about how you make the crowd feel.

We can all agree that Peter Wolf is a rock icon.
It doesn't matter what era of the J. Geils band you were most fond of, the heart and soul of the entire band is Peter. You can just imagine the stories he has collected over the years. There must be at least one for every occasion. I mean c'mon... It's Peter Wolf!
Just the way he's always told stories onstage is enough to grip anyone's attention. As such, stories are part of the reason he's hitting the road for his "Waiting on the Moon" tour... A super limited run of 7 dates around New England, according to a recent press release.
When is this fantastic event?
This summer on July 5th and 6th at the Stone Mountain Arts Center, Wolf will be bringing his latest endeavor to the stage. He's about to release his memoir, and in line with that, he'll be performing all of his songs acoustic that night, as well as telling the stories behind songs. And probably just a bunch of crazy stories in general.

If you want to go to this very intimate and special event, tickets are available right from Stone Mountain. $80 a piece for entry, and there is a dinner seating as well. Dinner and a show is where it's at. Not to mention, the food there is extraordinary. All the way around, it sound like a heck of a night.
Some J. Geils tunes aren't far off this list at all, frighteningly.
