I'm personally an un-tattooed fella, but this has me thinking of changing that real soon.

Diversified Ink, a custom tattoo and body piercing studio in Bangor, is hosting their annual “Cinco De Inko Flash Bash” on Friday, May 5th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Instead of booking appointments, the studio is taking walk-ins for the event. Folks can choose from a range of designs available on Diversified Ink’s Facebook page, starting at $100 for small designs, $150 for medium designs, and $200 for large designs. All designs will feature black and grey shading with one color accent on arms or legs only.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Old Town Animal Orphanage, a no-kill animal orphanage that admits stray cats and dogs through police or animal control in Old Town. Tattoo fundraisers are a popular way to raise money for a good cause, where tattoo artists donate their time and skills, and people can get tattooed while supporting a cause they care about. So, by getting a tattoo at the “Cinco De Inko Flash Bash,” people can not only show off some new ink (especially with summer right around the corner) but also make a positive impact in their community by supporting the shelter's work in the Old Town area.

The studio has seven licensed tattoo artists, including a cosmetic tattoo artist, and a body piercer. They are urging customers to arrive early, as spots are first come, first serve. Diversified Ink is located at 51 Washington St. in Bangor.
