Families Can Swim For Free At Bangor's Dakin Pool All This Week

The only thing better than getting to swim in a pool on a hot summer day, is to get to swim in a pool on a hot summer day...for free!

And that's just what's happening at Bangor's Dakin Pool all this week, thanks to the kindness of the local Friends Of Dakin Pool group.

According to their Facebook Page, this Family Fun Swim Free week at the Dakin Pool (and this only applies to the Dakin pool, not the Pancoe pool) is an effort to get folks to come check out Bangor's other pool, and see what it has to offer.

"Tuesday, August 1st come down to Dakin Pool after work with your kids for a FREE SWIM for all and FREE ICE CREAM between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. It's Family Fun Week at Dakin Pool! Evening swim opens at 6:00 p.m.

WABI TV5 meteorologist Curt Olson will join us to broadcast the weather LIVE from Dakin Pool."

From now through August 5, all entrance fees will be covered by the Friends of Dakin Pool group, who say they want to "create awareness for this east-side neighborhood gem - come swim with us! "
