You've looked at that big bulky TV sitting over in the corner of the garage long enough.  It hasn't worked since 2002, but you've still got it.  Well, the time has come.

Get rid of it for free, or by offering up a donation to the Noontime Rotary Club of Ellsworth, as they hold their annual E-Waste disposal event on Saturday, July 18th.

Throw this stuff into the back of the truck and get rid of it: Televisions (all models and sizes), computer monitors, computers, desktop printers, laptops, digital picture frames, game consoles, computers and periphery, photocopiers, fax machines, cell phones, microwave ovens, CD players/DVD players, servers, network equipment, ballast, and mercury thermostats and devices.

The event will happen within the Home Depot parking lot off Myrick Street between 7 a.m. and noon that Saturday.  Make sure to mark it on your calendar!

When you arrive with your electronics there is no reason to even get out of the truck, as the volunteers with Noontime Rotary Club will be dressed in orange and will gladly remove the items from it for you.

Like we said, it's a free event, but your donation to the Noontime Rotary Club will  help fund scholarships for local high school students, which is especially cool.

Businesses with less than one hundred employees can also discard their e-waste at this event. For more information give Rotarian Jen Saunders a call at 266-1553.

Everything collected at this event will be passed along to Electronics End of Brewer to be dismantled and then recycled.
